About:
COMM 3332 and 5086 - Intercultural Communication 
A study of intercultural communication theory and how they shave interpersonal, small group, and public interactions. Students will observe, participate, and analyze intercultural interactions on campus and in the community. 

Learning Outcomes:
  • Intercultural Communications:
    • Understand the intercultural nature of communication
    • Appreciate, define, and appropriately use terminology within intercultural communication
    • Increase awareness of differences and similarities in communication style across cultures
    • Explore, reflectively, personal bias, ethnocentrism, and the impact of culture in daily interactions.
  • Study Abroad and Service Learning
    • As a result of participating in a service learning experience, students will be able to:
      • Demonstrate growth in acquisition, integration, construction, and application of knowledge
      • Improve cognitive complexities; Enhance interpersonal development
      • Develop interpersonal competence; Develop and appreciate of humanitarianism and civic engagement
